SUMMARY:
The Customer Service/Outbound Sales Representative is responsible for conducting direct sales presentations to national residential customers. The position is responsible for selling utility related products and services via the telephone and may include lead generation or inbound customer service presentations. Because this position is a primary contact with the Company’s customers and clients, this incumbent must project a positive company image.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Contact Company prospects utilizing a variety of mediums including computer, telephone, sales presentations and written correspondence.
- Consult with decision makers about deregulated energy services and/or service contracts.
- Qualify customers to purchase specific products.
- Accurately and efficiently enter information based on customer responses.
- Assist customers with issues/concerns and answer questions regarding features and benefits of current program(s).
- Research new and existing customer bases.
- Send appropriate forms and information to customers.
- Close the sale!
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Other duties as assigned by their Supervisor, Senior Supervisor, Sales Manager and/or Management.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have excellent verbal and interpersonal skills including strong customer service and telephone etiquette skills. Must possess a clear telephone voice.
- Good reading, writing, and listening skills. Ability to read scripted material yet maintain a conversation-style sales presentation.
- Proven sales ability, including effective negotiation and closing techniques. Phone sales preferred.
- Proven excellent attendance record is essential. Must be able to meet attendance requirements of the position to include possible scheduling changes as dictated by current project needs.
- Must have the ability to be aggressive, self-motivated and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to sit and remain on task for extended periods of time.

SUMMARY:
The Account Coordinator is responsible for maximizing the sales productivity of their assigned projects and Sales Representatives. This individual is responsible for the production of their assigned account(s) and overall direction and supervision of the Sales Representatives. This individual assures and maintains customer service quality and is responsible to report results to clients and management. This position is responsible to plan and coordinate the successful implementation and completion of client projects. This position is the primary liaison between CustomerLink and it’s clients. In addition, this position provides primary support to the Director of Sales and performs a variety of analytical and administrative tasks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible to supervise a team of Sales Representatives to include accountability for time and attendance, goal setting and attainment, problem solving, and appropriate disciplinary actions.
- Responsible to train, coach, and develop assigned Sales Representatives to include monitoring sales presentations, conducting evaluations, follow-up, and corrective counseling as needed. Expected to provide quality one-on-one coaching to individual Sales Representatives and maintain on-going training and evaluation.
- Continuous monitoring of sales activities and productivity levels and immediate attention to maximizing sales productivity. Responsible to change focus appropriately and as necessary.
- Assist the Director of Sales in maintaining a positive, motivating, and high-energy working environment.
- Act as a liaison between the Sales Department/Business Development department and the Sales Representatives. Maintain on-going communication via memos, e-mail, phone, and/or face-to-face regarding project status. Prepare and write scripts and develop/implement other innovations to enhance project performance.
- Use analytical skills to assess successes, failures, issues, obstacles, trends, and other items that affect campaign results.
- Establish meeting schedules and ongoing report schedules to communicate all relevant program details to the Business Development/Sales staff.
- Focus all activity towards fostering the client relationship(s) and work with Business Development to grow business within a given account.

- Spearhead, oversee, conduct, and attend regularly scheduled monitoring sessions with clients.
- Review and oversee daily reporting to clients.
- Review and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to appropriate internal staff; assist with monthly forecasting.
- Work with the Director of Sales, the Business Development department and client(s) to determine the number of Sales Representatives to be assigned to each project.
- Initial and continual management of the sales floor based on project numbers and adjust sales activities accordingly to maintain efficient use of dialers and sales staff.
- Management of queue to include checking calls and sales numbers, maintaining dialer effectiveness and tracking “down” time.
- Oversee semi-monthly billing and finalize client invoices.
- Various administrative duties as assigned.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
The incumbent reports to the Director of Sales. An assigned team of Sales Representatives report to this incumbent.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, and/or Business preferred.
- Two years previous supervisory experience, including employee evaluations, corrective counseling, motivational techniques, employee development and understanding of acceptable Human Resources practices is required.
- Proven customer service and sales history to include proven abilities to overall objections required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows and computer proficiency is required.
- Excellent attendance is critical.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
